From a seed to a garden.... What began as a small need blossomed into an entire ministry of service.
Mark 10:45, “For even the Son of Man (Jesus) did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Volunteers
Helps Ministry volunteers desire God to use them to help others. We have a heart to help. It is a blessing to use our gifts and talents for the benefit of others. Each volunteer is committed to our Lord and Savior and to following His example of giving of Himself. All that we do for others is also done for Jesus.
“My motivation for volunteering for the Helps Ministry is James 2:15-16: 'If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," and yet do not give them what is necessary for their bodies, what use is that?'
Although the Helps Ministry calls for assistance aren't always crises, helping others when they need help is putting my faith to work. When Pat calls me with a task, I know that God is giving me an opportunity to obey His teaching. I then put my faith in Him to give me the ability to perform the requested task....” -- Margaret DesRochers
