Help & Hope For Single Parents
If you’re a single parent, you’re probably tired, overwhelmed and feeling a bit under-appreciated. That’s why we created Single & Parenting groups—to share tips and parenting wisdom that will help you find rest, hope and encouragement.
At a Single & Parenting group, you’ll participate in video seminars that explain how to:
- Wisely encourage your kids to obey
- Help your hurting child
- Eliminate debt
- Deal with verbal onslaughts, and
- Figure out what your emotions are telling you
This class is facilitated by two couples in our church who have experienced the single-parent journey themselves. Plus, you’ll develop meaningful friendships with other single parents, who, like you, are tired of hectic mornings and chaotic evenings, the kids fighting, and a never-ending to-do list. Take the guesswork out of parenting alone.

Kurt & Michelle Gulden facilitate the Single & Parenting group along with Kari Krausmann. Each has experienced life as a single parent.
After being a single parent for 3 years, I can relate to the challenges each parent faces. I felt the fear, concerns, and aspirations for my child as well as the stress. I want to help each parent apply God’s wisdom to parenting – something my single-parenting could have used. I have been married to Michelle for 14 years. We have two grown daughters and a 11-year old son.
I was a single parent for the first 15 years of my daughter’s life. Although I knew the Lord was always with me, there were still times that I struggled with loneliness and fear. I’m so thankful to be a part of this group – to give single parents the encouragement and support necessary to see them through this season of life.
I was a single parent for over 8 years until I married my husband, Jeff, in 2000. During my season of single parenting, I struggled with loneliness, direction and godly solutions to handle the unique challenges of single parenthood. I believe a group like this would have met many of my needs and given me the guidance that I wanted in different areas. I love being a part of it and if you are a single parent, please consider joining us!
