“It is a blessing to serve under (CCO’s) leadership.” -- Mona Davis, Bookkeeper

How would you describe CCO's "church culture" to others? Our pastors and elders are very tender-hearted and generous and desire to help those in our body that are in need. It is a blessing to serve under that type of leadership.

Your bookkeeping position involves a lot of responsibility. My job is to not only provide accurate and timely information to the staff and elders so that they can make informed decisions, but also to maintain a good reputation with the banking community and our vendors. I also get to interact with our independent missionaries by providing them with services that otherwise would be provided by a sending agency. There is also a team of dedicated deposit counters that help to accurately account for the tithes and offerings that we receive.

What originally brought you to Calvary Chapel Olympia? We started attending CCO after moving here from Everett, Washington in 1991. We attended a Calvary Chapel in Bothell before moving south. They highly recommended Pastor Chuck to us. It was a small congregation at the time, about 200 people. We were greeted by many friendly people. We enjoyed the contemporary worship and the verse by verse teaching. I took on the job as bookkeeper for the church in 1993. I have worked in the bookkeeping field since high school. My experience includes working for a construction company, restaurant corporations, an attorney and the church.

And now your family shares your skills with others in the church body. My husband, Tom, and I also do financial counseling for members of the congregation. He teaches the ETS class "How in Manage Your Money God's Way". He has been an elder at the church since 1995.
