Military Support Group

“HOME IS WHERE YOUR CHURCH IS.”

Dozens of families with military connections make Calvary Chapel Olympia their home church.    As our community’s military presence grows, we are also growing our military ministry to offer even greater care and support.  Whether you’re in our community for months or years, there is always a place for you here.

Did you know:

  • Joint Base Lewis McChord supports over 120,000 military retirees and more than 29,000 family members living both on and off post.
  • The Lacey Chamber of Commerce estimates that 25 percent of the military population makes its home in the Lacey area.
  • 28% of JBLM’s service members are 18 to 24 years old, many of them unmarried.
  • 37% of JBLM’s service members range in age from 25 to 44, many with families.

IEDs, sniper fire, terrorists. These are all realities CSM Marlo Montes has endured through his three military deployments overseas. At home, his wife Liza admits she doesn't always know the extent of the danger Marlo faces. But she constantly lifts him up in prayer, and God has always proven faithful.
