God Knows What I Need, When I Need It (and He takes care of it)
by: Abby Kelly
A couple weeks ago I wrote about my upcoming move to Virginia. I also mentioned a ministry called “JustMoved.org.” I learned about this ministry from several different sources, the most recent being our battalion commander’s wife. So, clambering for any resources and encouragement that I could find, I went to the website and joined their online community.
Last week, I got a phone call from an area code in Arizona. Rude, call-screener that I am, I let it go to voicemail. I listened a few minutes later.
“Abby, this is Susan Miller from Just Moved Ministries. I noticed you signed up for our online community a few days ago. I just wanted to let you know that you’re on my mind today. Please call the ministry or me personally if you have any prayer requests or needs. We’re already praying for you. God bless you!”
That short message could not have come on a better day. I had already been whimpering in prayer that morning. I begged God to increase my faith and help me to trust Him when all of my plans for the move kept coming apart at the seems.
I called Susan back. She listened to me for 20 minutes and prayed with me on the phone. God blessed me so personally that afternoon.
Recently, Susan Miller spoke at a Protestant Women of the Bible (PWOC) gathering, “My prayer was that God would use me to show them how to confront change and difficult circumstances, while clinging to Christ. I hoped to lead them in ways that would strengthen their marriages, equip them as moms, and guard their hearts as they trusted Christ in all things.”

It is my personal prayer that next time you find yourself in the middle of an unchartered PCS, you will find her words, and this ministry encouraging.
