Mark 10:45, “For even the Son of Man (Jesus) did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Critical Needs

Our volunteers are committed to serving our Lord by helping you cope with a critical need. A “point person” will be assigned to your family to help with:

  • Medical emergencies.
  • Memorial service planning.
  • Helping with long-term and terminal illnesses.

Help will also be provided for accompanying needs such as food, bill payment, transportation, and other necessities.

“I really don't know where I would be today without the help of Calvary, the Helps Ministry, and the body. I was very sick with brain cancer and was not able to do normal, everyday tasks. Pat sent me some people to help with cleaning, dishes, and outside work. I was not able to work and I needed help with groceries. The Helps Ministry provided money for food and groceries during this time. Later, I was working part-time, but all my avenues were depleted for paying for my medications and chemotherapy. The Helps Ministry and church stepped in to assist me. While all of this was happening, Pat put me in contact with someone who could help me appeal to the drug companies, who eventually donated all of my medications. I would not have been able to continue with my treatments without Calvary and the Helps Ministry. I don't know what would have happened without them stepping in.” – Rebecca Tucker
