In His grace, God has chosen to make Himself known to us. He has placed a desire in each of us for meaning and fulfillment; a desire to understand what is real and true.
In His kindness, God has allowed us to understand the reality our sinful state, the consequences of our sin, and the grace of God – His forgiveness – which is offered to us through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. As we choose to trust God to forgive us and clear away our sin, He changes our lives in the most significant of ways.
So, as we follow Jesus, we experience heart change, know lasting peace and hope, and we see the reality of relationships restored and prayers answered. God’s presence in our lives protect us, heals us, and guides us.
NATURE POINTS DIRECTLY TO GOD
We are surrounded by an incredibly complex, orderly and intelligent universe; which demands an intelligent Designer. From DNA’s amazing blueprint of life to the flagella rotor in a single cell bacterium, we cannot escape the obvious element of intelligent design.
We are reminded of this truth not only by the marvels revealed by scientific study, but simply by opening our eyes to the world around us. We agree with Psalm 19, “The heavens declare the glory of God and the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” Romans Chapter 1, verses 19 and 20 also tells us that, “since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”
GOD HAS MADE HIMSELF KNOWN THROUGH HIS WORD
While nature tells of God’s power, God has revealed Himself in a much more personal way. He has made himself known to mankind by inspiring a variety of different authors to write down the books of the Bible. The Bible delivers an account of history, from the beginning of time and looks forward to times ahead, as told in prophecy.
GOD HAS MADE HIMSELF KNOWN THROUGH THE LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST
The Bible describes the creation of man, and the beginning of earth. However, the perfect earth was not to last. Beginning with Adam and Eve’s first sin, the world became fallen. Death and hardship had destroyed paradise. God sent His Son Jesus Christ to the world to die for the sins of man. Jesus, the only perfect man, was crucified. Through His death, Jesus righted the wrong of sin in the world. God revealed Himself through His perfect Son.
